Now that the rumors are spreading I want to make it clear!

Introducing Picture Perfect Babies!

After a long 4 months of working with Wilson Memorial Hospital we now have the go ahead!

Picture Perfect Babies will be exclusively on staff at WMH Monday-Saturday offering artistic, natural photos of each and every baby born at WMH. No more mug shots! Each Baby will receive a in hospital room photo shoot with the parents and 20 edited photos to preview that day with an online gallery available the same day for family and friends to view as well.

The month of January I will be spending a lot of time getting the site together and shooting models. I will not be the main photographer as I already have to many things on my plate. Picture Perfect will be hiring 1 full time photographer to be on staff that the Hospital as well as a part time photographer to help fill in!

I am so excited for 2009.

Big Thank You!

This year has been nothing but great. Opening the doors to a studio last November '07 really had me nervous. I was moving out on my own, opening a studio of my own which were some really big steps in my life. The first few months I was shaky and worried... hoping I made the wright decision. I am so happy to say 12 months later I am so glad I did it! Some times you just have to go with your gut feeling and roll with it. I have been so blessed and lucky that everything fell into place.

About a year ago a meet a photographer Tracy who has opened my eyes and has pushed me to be something so much better! I look back at my work from last year at this time to my work now and am blown away by the difference. I am glad to have had such a great mentor give me that push I really needed. Tracy then introduced me to her friends Tine & Carmen who have been great mentors as well. I will always be on a mission to learn new things and better myself.

I want everyone to know how grateful I am for everyone, clients, friends, family, and the chance to do what I love everyday.

This quote was from a photographers blog I read. It rings so true and is a great way to start off 2009.

I hope everyone enjoyed Christmas!

I spent Christmas this year at my parents house together with my brothers sister-in-laws and nephews. We hung out together all day played Wii and just chilled it was so nice to hang out.

I am looking forward to the new year and all that will be coming along with it!

Karl & Nicoles Destination Wedding!

Karl & Nicole! What can I say besides THANK YOU for such an awesome opportunity. I had the best time with the both of you your friends, and your family. Everyone was so great I felt not like a vendor but part of the wedding. Thank you so much for that! 

I am so glad our paths have crossed for this and must say I have gained some great friends along the way.

Alright in my short 4 years of being a wedding photographer I have NEVER and I mean NEVER heard a speaker memorize their verse. I was honestly blown away when I heard him recite this all from his memory. This made it PERSONAL.... people it is things like this that make good weddings. You can invite all the people you know, have the best dresses, most expensive food, flowers from somewhere exotic, invitations that blow you away but  really does that make the day.... No it doesn't its the people you have surrounding you and the love the bride and groom have for each other. As I am ranting on I think every wedding is great they are all different but the ones who stick in my mind are the weddings that are personal.

Karl & Nicole you were blessed with great people surrounding you the whole weekend.

4ft x 4ft Print

Downtown Sidney never has looked so good. 

This fall The Hampton Inn Hotel in Sidney contacted me about using my photographs for there newly renovated lobby. They decided to go with this print of downtown Sidney I took awhile back. First time I have ever had a print enlarged 4ft x 4ft but it looks awesome. I will post a picture once its framed in the lobby there!

So as I was in her room shooting all the details and the dress I saw this box and had to use it for this picture... Thinking how creative Leah is I figured she had made it but no. The best story here! She walks up and says no that box was given to me by my friends when my grandfather passed away for me to put memories of him in! How awesome! 

This is a prime example of why I love to shoot at the persons home and be able to spend the whole day with them. This offers so much more personal memories rather than just pictures.

My wedding assistant Rhonda is way to good to me!

So I get into my room from Karl and Nicoles wedding and say man this is a nice hotel they even pull your bed down for you and make you towel animals... Well not so much the hotel... Rhonda!

Rhonda you truly keep me in line. During weddings I am all over the place and tend to forget things but no worries Rhonda knows how I am and takes care of it!

Thanks Rhonda SOOO much for being such a great help to me! I would prolly be lost or be ordering equipment all the time because I would loose it with out you!
